Hi, I am a 43 year old single Mother of three who is struggling to make ends meet, and due to severe arthritis, I am not able to work
at this time. I am surviving on Child Support of $144 weekly, and food stamps.... I also receive Family care to help with my health issues, unfortunately it does not cover dental, and if you know about RA, it is an immune disease, and any cut, bruise, or dental problem I have , my immune system goes haywire. I had a friend that was helping me, I thought that he was sincere. He told me to use my credit cards to purchase household necesseties and he would pay them for me, he also did this with school clothes and supplies.... But left me with the bills. He talked me into renting a house that I cannot afford saying that he understood about my illness and wanted to help me, but shortly after signing the lease, he told me he could not afford it, and would have to move in with me, which I did not allow. He had an ulterior motive the entire time, same as running up my credit cards to keep me dependent on him. I have discussed this in depth with my therapist, who thinks it is best to just cut all ties with this person. He is even following me around and driving past my house late at night after he has been out drinking, and gets angry with me because I cannot go out with him and drink, which I do not do anyway. But due to my illness I cannot make plans to go out or invite him over because I never know how I am going to feel from day to day. To make a long story short, what I am asking, are there any grants available to single women in my situation ?? They say that money does not buy happiness, but it certainly would take away a lot of stress in a very stressful situation. Thank You for any help you can provide. |
