"..........I am writing today to inquire about and request financial assistance through personal grants. About two years ago, I completed a master's degree in elementary education. I
started paying the minimum payments six months after graduation. During this time, I have also relied heavily on credit cards to purchase books, clothing, gas, food, etc. I have
continually made payments on these debts for the past two years. I have not faulted on any one of them nor have I fallen behind in paying the minimum. However, I am living from
paycheck to paycheck with limited amount of money left over. I want to be debt-free. However, with my current debt amounts, I need help to dig myself out of the hole. Without help, I
will not be able to get out of debt. Borrowing money is no longer an option. My husband works outside the home and receives a pension. However, his salary goes toward paying
household utilities, mortgage, and business rental. The stress of the financial difficulties are causing me to feel despair, when typically, I am a fighter. It is tough when I am doing
everything I can think of, but seem to constantly fall short or am reminded that my efforts are not good enough. I ask that you consider my openness to share what is very private and
personal to me. I have faced a lot of rejection and stress to this point. I am a woman that desires the best for my family. Most of all, I need assistance..."

"........My goal is to do some extensive home repairs and renovations for my children's safety and health. I have damage from the weather and need personal grants to repair my roof,
chimney, basement flooding and mold, damage in bathroom, kitchen doors, siding, concrete, drywall, insulation, windows, and miscellaneous other repairs. I also will be attending
University this upcoming year and need help covering costs with that. Another purpose for the request is to help me start an online home based business (I have a few that I have started;
I just need personal grants for advertising). I have never applied for a grant of this much importance or a grant like this period, so I hope that has in here everything you need.

I do not have an exact budget planned out because I have not yet gotten a hold of everyone, simply because I can not reach them or I do not know where to go locally to get the services
I need. I looked around at prices on the Internet for an idea of the things I need done. I used measurements from my home, so its all is in the right ball park. The main ones I will let you
know of are the wooden windows that leak tons of cold air and my sons window is being held together by duct tape, my daughters room has condensation dripping from the ceiling in
her closet and her walls (very bad insulation throughout the entire house), we have holes in our ceiling from the bathroom problems, we have mold around all our windows and mold in
our basement (its all black mold), there is water being retained in the basement walls causing mold and leaks, our front door is leaking tons of cold air, the chimney is literally crumbling
(pieces are falling off our roof and could be dangerous to people who are near), plus many other numerous issues within our home. I hope that you will be able to help us, we are a hard
working American family that just is down right now because I can not get a job due to the fact I am attending school and watching the kids while their father is working....."
