ANGLO-ITALY REVIEW OF TRADE
The Anglo-Italian economic committee
concluded its two-day meeting in London
yesterday with a statement, which, by
mentioning the large number of questions
considered, demonstrated the many links
between Britain in the Common Market and
its member countries.
The committee reviewed the economic
situation of Britain and Italy, and in particular
the present balance of trade in favour of
Britain. Experts will further consider a number
of technical questions.
The committee also continued its exchange of
views on other problems.
The committee took note of the British
Government's interest in developments in
E.E.C. in technical subjects.
Representatives of the Italian national
committee for nuclear energy and the United
Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority met
separately and reviewed arrangements for
continuing cooperation between the two
organizations.
