Grants for Individuals

".....I am seeking an individual grant to improve my family's quality of life. I need finances. Right now, my hands are tied behind
my back because I am stifled with financial issues and unable to save enough money to begin my business, let alone to pay for
basic needs of our family. I cannot pay for support services that will enable me to cultivate other revenue streams. I have the
talent, the education, the drive, but not the resources. I am struggling to keep my job, a good job, because of my inability to
maintain care for my children and transportation issues. My extended family is not very supportive and my husband has no
family for us to reach out to for help.
I realize we need other revenue streams. I am a professional, college educated woman who has succeeded in obtaining a degree in
Family Studies and more recently, a management degree. I have always been driven to succeed and passionate about meeting
needs of underserved communities throughout my career. Deep inside, I am swelling with ideas to address social ills in my
community. I've had a business idea for three years that an investor was interested in, but my entrepreneurial spirit, my
knowledge and my experiences are not enough. I am representing my family, who means the most to me. I am fighting because I
want my marriage to endure and for my children to thrive in a household that is supportive and nurturing. At the same time, I am
not doing well and need support. The stress of the financial difficulties are causing me to feel despair, when typically, I am a
fighter. It is tough when I am doing everything I can think of, but seem to constantly fall short or am reminded that my efforts are
not good enough. I am a woman that desires the best for my family. Most of all, I need assistance......"
